Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our prestigious jewelry shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily transactions, and ensuring the smooth financial operation of the business. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who is passionate about numbers and wants to work in a luxury retail environment. The accountant will play a key role in tracking inventory costs, managing vendor payments, and assisting with financial planning to support the shop’s growth.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Manage and record all daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses.

    2. Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

    3. Prepare daily cash flow reports, monthly financial statements, and profit & loss summaries.

    4. Maintain accurate inventory valuation, especially for gold, diamond, and gemstone products.

    5. Coordinate with sales and procurement teams for stock audits and inventory reconciliation.

    6. Ensure tax compliance, including GST/Sales Tax and income tax.

    7. Handle bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and payroll entries.

    8. Monitor costing, pricing strategies, and discount schemes for optimal profit margins.

    9. Support the external auditors during audits and financial reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACCA/CA finalist is a plus)

    • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or jewelry

    • Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, QuickBooks/Tally/ERP software

    • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

    • Attention to detail and strong ethical standards

 

Preffered:

–Experience in diesel trading or fuel depot accounting.
–Knowledge of cost allocation across projects or operational divisions.
–Familiarity with regulatory bodies in the UAE oil & gas sector.
